C.H.A.T.

 CHAT is the Walter T. Bergen School Peer Leadership program.  C.H.A.T., an acronym for caring, hearing, and trust, has been in effect for well over ten years.  During that time, the program has grown and evolved into an active group.  Our members, seventh and eighth graders, are trained in decision-making, team building, and cooperative skills.  They in turn share their skills with the student body.  There are a variety of activities that CHAT students participate in. CHAT   continues to be a member of the New Jersey Middle School Peer Leadership Initiative.
