From the Counselor’s Corner…. Eighth Grade Students Reminder! Passaic County Technical Institute has extended its student application deadline and is still accepting applications from interested candidates. Due to the continued expansion of the facility, they are able to accommodate additional qualified students into their career programs. They will also continue to arrange on-site tours for students and parents, and anyone interested should contact Betty Schulte at 973-389-4235. Applications can be downloaded from the internet or obtained from Ms. Picone, and the completed application should be given to Ms. Picone as soon as possible so that the necessary records can be forwarded. Seventh Grade Students It is not too early to begin considering your choices relating to the high school you attend. Remember, the grades you receive this year are just as important when admissions counselors are looking at your records, so continue to do your best! Morris County School of Technology will be holding their annual open house on April 7, 2008 from 7:00-8:30 P.M. This is a great opportunity to learn about what MCST has to offer, so mark your calendars if you are interested. William Paterson University will be
offering Summer Youth Programs 08, which allows middle and high
school students to take part in fun and academically enriching programs!
A wide variety of courses are available, ranging from CSI/Forensics
to Modeling and Fashion to Graphic Design Workshop. An

Visit http://www.state.nj.us/education/assessment/parents/ to view information as it becomes available. Parents! Please remember that it is particularly important that children get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast on testing days. Also, please keep in mind that it is imperative that students get to school on time. Arriving late may prohibit them from taking the test on the scheduled date, and may force them to take the test during a make-up session. We are required to follow strict guidelines when administering these tests!
