Martha B. Day School

Dear Martha B. Day Parents & Community,

As principal of Martha B. Day Elementary, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for the 2017-2018 school year. We are all excited to have the students back in our classrooms and look forward to a school year filled with energy and learning.  The mission of the Bloomingdale School District is to work in partnership with students, families and the community to ensure that each student acquires the skills and core values necessary to achieve personal success and to enrich the community.

At Martha B. Day we have great teachers who spend hours planning creative and age appropriate lessons. For this upcoming school year, the Martha B. Day School theme will be a Circle of Sharing and Caring. We believe in creating a very successful and safe learning environment for the children where school becomes home. One way we plan on doing that this year is implementing something new, Morning Meeting. Our goal is to start the beginning of each day with a morning meeting to build a strong sense of community as well as develop positive teacher/student relationships to ensure that all of our students feel safe and secure, which will enable them to flourish in their learning.

Our school website can help provide any and all information you may need for the upcoming school year. On the school calendar there are dates of special activities for the 17-18 year, along with updated information to parents.

I am delighted to be serving as your child’s principal. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the MBD community. If you have any questions please feel free to call at 973-838-1311 or at
